13-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Sodomised by Teenagers in Madhya Pradesh School

Alleged Sexual Assault at School

A distressing incident unfolded at a school in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, where a 13-year-old boy was reportedly subjected to sexual abuse by two teenagers. The victim was coerced into performing oral sex on the school’s premises, an act that has raised serious concerns.

Authorities Launch Probe

The victim’s family encountered obstacles while trying to obtain a mandatory medical examination for the traumatized boy. This delay prompted an official inquiry into the situation, seeking to address the inefficiencies in the process.

The alleged perpetrators, aged 16 and 17, were apprehended and placed in a correctional facility. Annapurna police station’s house officer, Ajay Nair, confirmed the detention of these individuals following the disturbing incident.

Details of the Incident

The incident transpired while the victim was playing on the school’s open grounds. The accused individuals, who were not students themselves, subjected the boy to acts of sodomy and forced him into engaging in oral sex, causing significant distress.

Authorities have reacted swiftly by registering a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, indicating the gravity of the offense committed.

Challenges Faced by the Family

During the process of seeking a mandatory swab test for the victim at the district hospital, the family encountered further hurdles. Despite the legal mandate, the facility was reportedly unavailable, leading to unnecessary delays.

After extensive delays, the family sought help from the Chief Medical & Health Officer (CMHO) in vain. Eventually, the boy underwent the necessary test at MY Hospital, although significant time had elapsed since the incident.

Official Responses

Dr. Ashok Yadav, superintendent of MY Hospital, has initiated an inquiry into the delays surrounding the medical examination. He has demanded explanations from relevant medical personnel regarding the lapses in providing timely assistance.

It was highlighted that swab test facilities are also accessible at smaller health centers, underscoring the need for efficient coordination in such critical situations.

In an effort to ensure justice and accountability, law enforcement authorities accompanied the victim throughout the testing process, signaling a commitment to addressing the matter promptly.

Instances of child abuse demand swift and comprehensive responses from authorities to safeguard the well-being of vulnerable individuals within society.
