Video of Criminal Standoff Goes Viral
A shocking video has once again gone viral, this time showing a criminal threatening to jump off the ledge of a building in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad during a police raid. The criminal, known as Abhishek or Shooter, is wanted in multiple cases of assault, rioting, and illegal arms possession.
Standoff at Fifth-Floor Flat
The video captured Abhishek standing on the ledge of his fifth-floor flat as a crime branch team urged him to come inside. The police team had conducted a raid at his flat on June 7 after receiving a tip-off. However, Abhishek locked himself inside and climbed onto the ledge of his kitchen balcony.
Livestreaming the Standoff
As the police team broke open the door, Abhishek started live-streaming the dramatic situation on social media, threatening to jump off. The police team, positioned inside the balcony, also recorded the incident as they tried to convince Abhishek to step back.
Detainment After Three-Hour Standoff
Despite attempts to reason with him, Abhishek continued to express fear and frustration. He even mentioned that an officer threatened to harm him. After about three hours of intense negotiation, the police finally detained Abhishek using “appropriate” force.
