Expanding the GLS Family

Mercedes-Benz India has expanded its GLS family by launching the GLS AMG Line. The luxury SUV is now available in two variants: the GLS 450 AMG Line and the GLS 450d AMG Line. The starting price for the petrol version is Rs 1.4 crore (ex-showroom), while the diesel variant will be priced at Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom). According to the brand, this new model is a sporty and expressive version of Mercedes-Benz’s highly successful ‘Large Size Luxury SUV.’

Distinctive Design Features

The GLS AMG Line boasts visual changes that align it with the Mercedes-AMG models. These changes include AMG front aprons, sporty air inlets at the front, front and rear wing flares, AMG side sills in body colors, air outlets on the rear wings, and an AMG rear apron with a diffuser-look insert in black. The car also features trim strips in chrome, perforated brake discs at the front axle, and brake calipers with “Mercedes-Benz” lettering at the rear.

Luxurious Interiors

Inside the GLS AMG Line, you’ll find a sport steering wheel with a 3-twin-spoke design and black top stitching. The steering wheel also has a flattened bottom section with perforated handle area and gearshift paddles. Additionally, the car comes with AMG sports pedals featuring brushed stainless steel with black rubber studs, and black floor mats with AMG lettering.

AMG Night Package

Mercedes-Benz offers the AMG Night Package for the GLS AMG Line, which includes black elements like exterior mirror housings, shoulder line, window line trim strips, and matte black roof rails. This package also includes 21-inch light alloy wheels for a sleek look.

Powerful Performance

The petrol variant of the GLS AMG Line is equipped with a 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder engine that produces 375 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel variant, 450d AMG Line, comes with a 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder engine delivering 362 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.1 seconds, with a top speed limited to 250 kmph.
