Ramakrishna Mission Inaugurates ‘Vidya Dwar’ Gateway

Lowang, the state Geology, Mining and Minerals minister, spoke at the inauguration of ‘Vidya Dwar’, a newly constructed archway at the Ramakrishna Mission campus in Narottam Nagar, Tirap district.

The ‘Vidya Dwar’, meaning ‘gateway to knowledge’, was inaugurated by the minister and Vice President of the Ramakrishna Math and Belur Math, Swami Suhitananda Maharaj.

The decorative arch enhances the visual and spiritual ambiance of the Narottam Nagar campus, attracting spiritual seekers, tourists, and students with its statues, gateways, and gardens.

Swami Suhitananda emphasized the importance of blending ‘Para Vidya’ and ‘Apara Vidya’ for true education, focusing on intellectual and emotional growth.

Youth Empowerment Convention

The inauguration also marked the start of a youth convention at the Vivekananda Sabhagriha, attended by over 250 youths from Tirap and Longding districts.

Focused on youth empowerment, cultural identity, and nation-building, the convention provided a platform for expression, learning, and inspiration through presentations, discussions, and cultural performances.

During the convention, the minister shared insights on cleanliness, punctuality, and humility as essential for personal and national progress.

The event united speakers from various regions, blending their wisdom with the enthusiasm of the attending youths.
