Officials reported that in a nursery, two men confronted a victim and one of them pulled out a country-made pistol, demanding his belongings. The victim handed over his mobile phone, and the accused fled. Balongi police investigated the incident and apprehended a minor, who is also a Balongi resident. A country-made pistol was recovered, and the minor will be questioned further in Hoshiarpur.
Arrest Made in Connection with the Case
The police confirmed the arrest of the juvenile and are searching for the second accused. Charges have been filed under relevant sections at the Balongi Police Station.

The Chandigarh Police successfully solved an attempt-to-murder case by capturing two juveniles responsible for a vicious assault on a 16-year-old in the Sector 49/50 area.
Victim’s Account
The victim’s father, a tailor from Sector 49-C, filed a complaint about his son being attacked on July 17. His son was found injured near the Sector 49/50 dividing road.
The Attack
While en route to PGIMER, the victim disclosed that he was attacked by three unidentified individuals on a two-wheeler with knives in an attempt on his life. He mentioned having prior altercations with some juveniles which led to the assault. Two juveniles were apprehended, confessed to the crime, and the evidence was recovered.
