Enforcement Directorate Arrests Chaitanya Baghel in Liquor Scam Case
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday arrested Chaitanya Baghel, the son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, in connection with the alleged multi-crore liquor scam in the state. The arrest came after fresh searches at the Baghel family’s residence in Bhilai, Durg district, as part of the ongoing money laundering probe under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Chaitanya Baghel’s home in Bhilai town of Durg district, shared by the father-son duo, was raided by the ED under the PMLA following new evidence in the case, news agency PTI reported.
