Honor X70: New Smartphone with 10,000mAh Battery Leak

Exciting Leak Reveals Honor’s New Smartphone with 10,000mAh Battery

The Honor X70, which was recently launched, featured an impressive 8,300mAh silicon-carbon battery. However, new reports from China suggest that Honor is working on a device with an even larger battery capacity. The upcoming smartphone is rumored to house a massive 10,000mAh battery, possibly utilizing an enhanced version of the silicon-carbon battery technology. If confirmed, this would set a new standard for mainstream smartphone batteries.

Leaked Details and Development Progress

According to Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, a Chinese OEM is preparing to test a mid-range smartphone equipped with a 10,000mAh battery by the first half of 2026. Despite the significant battery size, the device is expected to maintain a slim form factor, possibly less than 8.5mm thick. Recent updates from the tipster indicate that the smartphone has entered the NPI phase, signaling progress in its development.

The exact name of the upcoming device has not been confirmed in the Weibo posts. Speculations suggest it might be the rumored Honor Power 2, speculated as a successor to the Honor Power series, which debuted with an 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery in April 2025.

Expanding Battery Capabilities

Honor seems poised to enhance the battery capacities of both its mid-range and flagship smartphones. Recent leaks hint at Honor’s future flagship models featuring batteries ranging from 7,020mAh to 7,200mAh. In contrast, mid-range devices are likely to sport larger batteries ranging from 8,200mAh to 8,400mAh.

The brand previously introduced the Honor X70 in China, boasting an 8,300mAh battery. This model offers up to 18 hours of screen time, 15.6 hours of navigation time, and 27 hours of “short video” playback on a single charge. Additionally, the latest Magic V5 foldable smartphone from Honor, equipped with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, includes a 6,100mAh battery.

Honor isn’t the only brand prioritizing larger battery capacities. Oppo recently unveiled the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro models with 7,000mAh batteries supporting 80W fast charging. Similarly, Realme launched the Realme 15 Pro 5G and Realme 15 5G in India, equipped with 7,000mAh batteries.
