Previous Pokémon Presents Announcements

Earlier this year, The Pokémon Company unveiled details about Pokémon Champions and offered a sneak peek at Pokémon Legends: Z-A on Pokémon Day in February. The upcoming presentation is expected to delve deeper into the ninth-generation Pokémon game, with its launch slated for October 16 on the Nintendo platforms.

During the last showcase, a trailer for Pokémon Legends: Z-A showcased the game’s captivating Paris-inspired setting, Lumiose City.

Exciting New Pokémon Games

In February, The Pokémon Company revealed plans for a new Pokémon game designed for both Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. Pokémon Champions is currently in development and tailored for battles on the Nintendo console, iOS, and Android platforms. Updates on the game’s release date could be on the cards for the upcoming presentation.

The upcoming show may also feature news on Pokémon GO, Pokémon Unite, and Pokémon TCG Pocket. Although uncertain, there is a possibility of a teaser for the next mainline Pokémon games exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2.

Future of Pokémon Gaming

With the recent launch of Switch 2 lacking a robust library of first-party titles, the anticipation for the 10th generation Pokémon game to be unveiled as a Switch 2 exclusive is high. Moreover, marking the franchise’s 30th anniversary in 2026, fans can expect potential announcements regarding a new game in commemoration of this special milestone.
