According to reports, a shop owner in Bengaluru was arrested for allegedly luring and harassing a minor girl in his bakery. The girl had accompanied her mother to a nearby medical store and was given money to buy ice cream from the bakery.
Incident Unfolds
Inside the bakery, the shop owner, Satish, reportedly lured the girl further into the shop using the ice cream as bait. He then sexually harassed her in a secluded corner. When the girl did not return immediately, her mother became anxious and called out for her. The frightened girl ran out of the bakery and disclosed the incident to her mother.
Legal Action
The mother lodged a complaint with the police, leading to Satish’s arrest the next day. He was taken into custody and will be presented before a court soon. Charges have been filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Authorities confirmed that the girl suffered no physical injuries. To protect her identity, details have been kept confidential in accordance with legal procedures and Supreme Court guidelines on victim protection in sexual crime cases.
