Sony Unveils FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick
Sony has shared details about its first wireless fight stick, officially known as FlexStrike, during the recent State of Play event. The controller will be named FlexStrike and is expected to hit the shelves in 2026. This new device is designed by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) and boasts various features to enhance the gaming experience.
Features and Compatibility
The FlexStrike controller is compatible with both PS5 and PC, offering users the option for wireless connection through Sony’s proprietary PlayStation Link interface. Additionally, it supports wired connection using a USB Type-C cable. The controller includes mechanical switch buttons and toolless swappable restrictor gates for customization.
An interesting detail revealed by Sony is the inclusion of a sling carry case with the FlexStrike, making it convenient for users to carry the controller while traveling. Players can connect two FlexStrike controllers to a PS5 for couch co-op play, allowing for an immersive gaming experience.
Other Features and Accessories
The controller can also be paired with a Pulse Elite wireless headset or Pulse Explore wireless earbuds for voice chat and audio functionality on the PS5. Additionally, users can keep their DualSense wireless controller connected to the console alongside the FlexStrike.
The controls on the FlexStrike mimic those of a DualSense controller, providing familiar buttons and functionalities. Players can further customize the controls by using a built-in lever mode switch and a lock button to prevent accidental inputs.
Fans eager to get their hands on the FlexStrike will have the opportunity to see it at the upcoming Evo 2025 event in Las Vegas. Although Sony has not disclosed the exact release date and pricing, the controller is expected to be available in 2026.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls
Alongside the FlexStrike, Sony also announced a new fighting game titled Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. Developed by Arc System Works in collaboration with Marvel Games, the game will feature Marvel heroes in a unique art style, with 4v4 matchups. Scheduled for release in 2026 on PS5 and PC, the game is set to offer an exciting gaming experience.
It is likely that the FlexStrike wireless fight stick will coincide with the launch of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, providing gamers with a comprehensive gaming setup for their entertainment needs.
