Suzlon Energy Ltd. Secures 381 MW Order

Suzlon Energy Ltd. witnessed a significant increase in its shares by over 6% during early trade on Friday following the announcement of a new order. The company revealed that it has secured a groundbreaking order of 381 MW from Zelestra India and its affiliated companies.

The Project Details

The project entails the installation of 127 of Suzlon’s S144 wind turbines, strategically distributed across different regions. Specifically, the turbines will be deployed in Maharashtra with a capacity of 180 MW, in Madhya Pradesh with an equal capacity of 180 MW, and in Tamil Nadu with 21 MW. This initiative marks a remarkable step towards harnessing renewable energy sources.

Serving Energy Needs

Suzlon’s endeavor is part of government-owned SJVN Ltd.’s FDRE bid in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Notably, the segment in Tamil Nadu aims to cater to the energy requirements of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) power consumers, highlighting a diverse yet sustainable approach.

Technical Insights

The S144 wind turbine generators involved in this project boast a rated capacity of 3 MW each, emphasizing efficiency and productivity. With this new order, Suzlon’s orderbook reaches an impressive 91%, underscoring the company’s commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions.
