Amritsar police commissioner GPS Bhullar revealed that since the authorities received threatening emails, they have been working closely. An FIR was filed promptly, and investigations are ongoing.

Reports indicate that a total of five threatening emails were received by the police in Amritsar. Security drills were initiated to ensure public safety in response to the threat.

Authorities have been in contact with concerned companies and have obtained IP addresses related to the emails. The focus now shifts to identifying the sender, with indications pointing towards South India, as per Bhullar.
Border Security Force assistance was sought to prevent any threats from materializing. High-level security checks were conducted at key locations in Amritsar, with bomb squads on standby.
Security Measures at Golden Temple
The Golden Temple faced a bomb threat for the second consecutive day. Security measures were heightened with the deployment of a dog squad at the premises.
Pratap Singh, Secretary of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), emphasized the importance of taking strict action against the perpetrators, considering the sanctity of the site.
Appeal for Calm
Despite the threats, devotees continue to visit the Golden Temple without fear. Singh urged devotees, both in India and abroad, to remain calm and reassured about their safety.
