Triptii Dimri made her debut as a lead in 2018, but it was the 2023 movie Animal that brought her mainstream recognition. While her cameo in the blockbuster garnered attention, she also faced criticism and trolling, especially for her nude and intimate scenes in the film. This led her to take a break from social media to distance herself from the negativity.
Sister’s Support Through Tough Times
Despite the backlash, Triptii’s sister remained a pillar of strength for her. In a recent interview with Too Filmy, Triptii shared how her sister, who has always been her biggest support system, was affected by the hate directed at Triptii online.
Triptii mentioned, “After dealing with all the criticism, I decided to stop reading any comments. However, my sister took it upon herself to read every comment late into the night, causing herself stress. She realized the impact it had on me and advised me to focus on what I believe in. She emphasized that criticism is inevitable, and mistakes are part of life’s journey.”
The Importance of Family Support
Reflecting on her bond with her sister, Triptii expressed gratitude for her unwavering support. She acknowledged her sister’s constant presence, especially during times of failure and insecurity in her career.
Triptii recalled, “My sister has been a constant source of encouragement since day one. Even when I faced rejections at auditions, she stood by me. I would often turn to her in tears, and she would remind me to stay focused on my goals, irrespective of external opinions. Her guidance has been invaluable.”
Upcoming Project: Dhadak 2
Triptii is set to star alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi in the upcoming movie Dhadak 2, directed by Shazia Iqbal. Produced by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures, the film serves as a spiritual sequel to Dhadak and a remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. Dhadak 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on August 1.
Triptii Dimri’s journey post-Animal sheds light on the challenges artists face in the industry and the unwavering support of loved ones. Her story is a testament to the strength gained through familial bonds and staying true to one’s beliefs despite external pressures.
