TVS Motor’s Marvel-Inspired Ntorq 125 Supersquad Series
TVS Motor is gearing up to introduce a new lineup of Ntorq 125 supersquad series of scooters in the Indian market. This series continues the brand’s trend of honoring Marvel superheroes.
Variants and Prices
The Ntorq comes in five different variants: Disc, Race Edition, Super Squad Edition, Race XP, and XT, with prices ranging from Rs 87,542 to Rs 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Race XP variant boasts a slightly more powerful 125 cc engine that delivers 10.2 hp and 10.8 Nm, while the other models offer outputs of 9.4 hp and 10.5 Nm. The Race XP can achieve a top speed of 98 kmph.
Features of XT Variant
On the other hand, the top-tier XT variant includes a TFT display with enhanced features compared to the LCD dashboard present in the other versions. The differences among the Disc, Race Edition, and Super Squad Edition are primarily cosmetic.
Success and Market Share
The Ntorq was initially launched by TVS in early 2018. Over time, the company has introduced new variations to sustain the model’s popularity and drive sales. While the Jupiter remains TVS’ best-selling scooter, the Ntorq 125 has captured 23 percent of TVS’ scooter sales since its inception.
Despite the Jupiter’s milestone of reaching 7 million sales earlier this year, it continues to hold the majority share of TVS’ scooter sales at 62 percent since its introduction in September 2013. In comparison, the Ntorq follows as the second-highest contributor with a 23 percent share since its debut.
