During the filming of Raghuveer, Shilpa found herself in a perplexing situation. Rumors of her demise had spread like wildfire, even reaching the headlines of a newspaper. This unexpected turn of events left her family reeling with shock.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Shilpa recounted the incident. She shared, “I was in Kullu Manali shooting for the film alongside Suniel Shetty. The people watching the shoot were puzzled as they had heard the news of my untimely death. The confusion was palpable among the onlookers.”
Upon returning to her room, Shilpa discovered multiple missed calls from her worried father. To her dismay, a newspaper headline claimed, ‘Shilpa Shirodkar was shot dead.’ It was only later revealed that this was a publicity stunt for a film promotion.

Shilpa Shirodkar made her acting debut in Ramesh Sippy’s Bhrashtachar in 1989, portraying a blind girl. She went on to star in various films such as Khuda Gawah, Aankhen, Pehchaan, Gopi Kishan, Bewafa Sanam, and Mrityudand. The actress also graced the reality show Bigg Boss 18, hosted by Salman Khan.
