Details on Toyota Rumion

The Toyota Rumion, which is essentially a rebranded version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, is part of a series of models shared between the two manufacturers. Along with other collaborations such as the Baleno-Glanza and Fronx-Taisor, Toyota provides three variants of the Rumion – S, G, and V, while Maruti Suzuki offers multiple variants of the Ertiga.

Despite sharing a chassis with the Ertiga, the Toyota Rumion boasts unique design elements that set it apart visually. The MPV features an updated front grille with a mesh design, new alloy wheels, and redesigned front and rear bumpers. It is also available as a seven-seater model in India.

Interior Features

Inside the Toyota Rumion, you’ll find a dual-tone black and beige dashboard with faux wood accents. The MPV comes equipped with comfort features like cruise control, automatic climate control, and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Toyota Rumion is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 102 hp and 138 Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with either a five-speed manual or automatic torque converter transmission. There is also a CNG variant available, producing 87 hp and 121 Nm of torque, coupled with a manual transmission.

Fuel Efficiency

The Toyota Rumion offers a fuel efficiency of 20.5 km/l, comparable to its Maruti Suzuki counterpart. The CNG variant, with a factory-installed kit, achieves an impressive mileage of 26.11 km/kg.

With these updates, the Toyota Rumion continues to be a family-friendly MPV choice for Indian consumers.
